There is growing attention on transforming traditional long-term care (LTC) homes into places where residents feel less like they live in a hospital and more at home. This presentation will focus on factors associated with the feasibility of implementing a small HOME model within a small-sized LTC home in the rural area of Milverton, Ontario -called “Knollcrest Lodge.”  The primary purpose of this presentation is to inform the audience whether redesigning and renovating existing LTC spaces for residents, particularly those living with dementia, can create a warm and caring environment that feels like home and leads to promoting residents’ quality of life.
