In a pioneering partnership with the University of Toronto’s Health Studies Program, the Christie Gardens intergenerational classroom pairs 25 residents and 25 undergraduate students in a semester-long exploration of gerontology and geriatrics. By bridging generational gaps, this initiative reshapes the narrative around aging, fostering mutual respect and engagement while generating elder-informed insights that will influence policies benefiting both current and future generations. This program aims to elevate the quality of care while empowering both caregivers and residents, ensuring that care practices reflect the values, needs, and aspirations of the individuals they support.
