Shelley graduated from the Foodservice Management Program at Centralia College in 1989, and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Ontario in Social Inequality and First Nations Studies. Shelley has been a longstanding member of CSNM for the past 33 years and has held various positions in both acute and long term care food service management roles. After obtaining her degree. Shelley’s lens with which she saw her role changed significantly, leading to advocating for seniors rights and supporting the work of the OSNAC/FNAT Group. Shelley currently works at Fairfield Park LTC Home in Wallaceburg, and has recently joined forces with Vida Dietetics in menu development.
