Suzanne Dupuis-Blanchard, Ph.D. is a registered nurse, Full Professor at the School of Nursing at the Université de Moncton where she also holds a Research Chair in Population Aging as well as Director of the Centre on Aging. She has worked with older adults for over 30 years, first as a community health nurse and now as a professor-researcher. Her program of research focuses on the multiple facets of aging in place including with older adults living in Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC). She is recognized for having developed Nursing Home Without Walls, an approach to support aging in place. She has co-chaired the development of the NB provincial strategy on aging, past chairperson of the National Seniors Council and past president of the Canadian Association on Gerontology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Nursing.
