This session features a 45-minute screening of The Green Bench, a documentary celebrating the 10th anniversary of the #ElderWisdom campaign. In the summer of 2025, residents of Schlegel Villages returned to their hometowns, including St. John’s, London and Brighton, Elmira, and Ottawa to share their stories, reflections, and lived experiences. The film follows their emotional journeys and the gifting of symbolic Green Benches to each community. Introduced by Ted Hudson, the session will include a discussion with residents who traveled home. This presentation highlights how storytelling fosters dignity, connection, and purpose in senior living.
