Since 2007, Mike’s passionate purpose has been to enhance the lives of seniors by improving their access to appropriate housing. While holding the VP of Property Development role for three different Canadian seniors housing companies, Mike has managed and has been responsible for advancing the development of over 5,600 long term care and retirement housing units, representing over $2.3 billion in investments across Canada. Projects include expansions, redevelopments and greenfield builds across all levels of care from Seniors Apartments, Supportive Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Long-Term Care.

In 2021, Mike founded Seniors DevCo, a seniors housing real estate development consultancy based in Toronto. The company is supporting the development of several long-term care residences and retirement homes. Seniors DevCo’s customers have included not-for-profit and for-profit public and private companies, and hospital organizations. Mike is helping lead the seniors housing industry towards a better future where our elder population will have access to more choice and safer environments. Mike has co-led webinars for AdvantAge on new development strategies for its member base.
