Stefanie Tan, VP Research at MedicAlert Foundation Canada, leads knowledge translation, research and innovation initiatives advancing dementia safety research into practical applications. With a medical degree from De La Salle University, Manila, and Master's in Public Health from the Londod School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, she brings extensive expertise in vulnerable population health research, AgeTech innovation, and digital health solutions. Her research portfolio spans dementia care, population health, and infectious diseases, with particular focus on health promotion and aging social gerontology. Stefanie has been instrumental in collaborative research projects including the Managing Risks of Disappearance in persons living with dementia initiative and the Dementia Home Operations Monitoring Assessment (DHOMA) project. Her work bridges academic research and real-world implementation, positioning MedicAlert as a thought leader in evidence-based safety solutions.
