Cathleen Edwards earned her Bachelor’s in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. After graduating, she worked on the Dementia-specific neighbourhood at a Long-Term Care Home in North Toronto. While she enjoyed getting to know the residents and families, she went on to pursue her Master’s in Health and Physical Education at Brock University. She is an experienced post-secondary instructor, facilitating courses in Recreation and Gerontology. Prior to joining the team at Family Councils Ontario, she worked as a Work Package Coordinator for AGE-WELL Canada’s National Centre for Excellence on Technology and Aging based out of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. She joined the team at Family Councils Ontario as the Research and Education Manager. When not at work, she enjoys being a busy Dance and Softball mom to her daughter.
