This session focuses on actively engaging with retirement and long-term care residents to discuss and enhance their quality of life through fulfilling their wishes. By fostering the joy of realizing dreams and cultivating meaningful experiences, both for residents and caregivers, the overall quality of care and life for everyone involved improves. Presenters will highlight six inspiring stories, featuring residents overcoming challenges like dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and amputation to fulfill their dream of skydiving in the summer of 2023. These examples showcase the possibilities when working collaboratively toward shared goals with an open mind and support.
