Seasoned Strategies for Onboarding and Retention: The Power of Team Engagement
Description

Through proven strategies, participants will learn how to create engagement within team members, which will cultivate a culture of leadership excellence and encourage teams to stay committed within the organization. Our key messages will be highlighted through sharing our experiences and the insights of our food nutrition managers across 25 long-term care and retirement homes. This information can also be applied to other departments. 
The dietary operations of our Homes were enhanced through the following actions: 
•    Onboarding review committee
•    Use of technology to review monthly feedback 
•    Clinical data review 
•    Menu planning committee 

A growth environment for our leadership team was enhanced through:
•    Quarterly check-ins with leadership team 
•    Leadership discussions: snacks and leaders 
•    Book Club
•    Wow moments, celebrating the positive/working collaboratively on new ideas
•    Mentorship
