Simon Cheesman is the Director of Baycrest@Home, a program supporting older adults to live well at home using a variety of virtual services and connected devices. Simon has worked in the field of information and communication technology, with a focus on media, telecommunication, and healthcare. Prior to launching Baycrest@Home, Simon led the Ontario Telemedicine Network’s (OTN) portfolio of Remote Patient Monitoring products, focusing on chronic disease management and community telemedicine initiatives. The Telehomecare program he helped to pioneer serves thousands of people across Ontario every day, helping them to stay healthier, at home.
Simon has a Master of Mass Communications from Carleton’s School of Journalism, where his studies focused on the political economic history of the Internet and digital media.
