The Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) and the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) invite members, thought leaders, researchers, innovators, and Business/Commercial Partners to submit their proposals for Together We Care 2026 — Canada’s largest forum for long-term care and retirement communities. Background

A demographic transformation is underway. By 2040, the number of people over 80 in Ontario will have doubled—reshaping the landscape of seniors' care as we know it. With the peak of the Boomer generation arriving in 2027, Together We Care 2026 is a timely call to action. This year, we’re showcasing bold ideas and practical solutions to strengthen workforce development, enhance resident quality of life, and improve operations, planning, and integration—laying the foundation for a more connected and resilient care system for today’s seniors and generations to come.

2026 Programming Streams

Our program will focus on the following five key programming streams:

• Investing in our People and Empowering our Teams: Highlights methods to enhance the recruitment, retention, and training of staff members, including strategies and innovations aimed at improving the overall staff experience.
• Quality of Care and Quality of Life: Highlights quality improvement initiatives and strategies, including optimizing the utilization of data and processes to enhance the resident experience and quality of care overall.
• Operational & Governance Excellence Across Organizations: Highlights operational strategies for a proactive approach to enhance efficiency, productivity, resident/staff satisfaction, etc.
• The Future of Seniors Care: Highlights new ideas, innovations and strategies that will shape the future of seniors’ care.
• Culinary and Nutrition: Highlights new ideas, innovations and strategies that will augment the culinary experience.

• Call for Content applications open: Monday, October 6, 2025
• Registration Opens: Thursday, November 13, 2025
• Call for Content applications close: Monday, December 1, 2025 @ 4 PM EST
• Applicants notified of the decision: January 2026 (date subject to change)
• Selected Speakers to register by: Monday, February 2, 2026
• Confirmed Speakers to submit final presentations by:  Monday, March 9, 2026
• Together We Care Convention and Trade Show: March 23-25, 2026
