Emma Harding Howell is the Manager, Privacy and Policy at Extendicare, where she leads policy governance, privacy oversight, emergency preparedness, the Whistleblower program and risk informed program development within the Corporate Quality and Risk portfolio. Her work supports enterprise readiness, compliance, continuity planning and organizational resilience across long term care operations and the enterprise.
Emma began her career in long term care as an Office Manager, with responsibilities for staff education and emergency preparedness, before moving into corporate Accreditation and risk and emergency management roles. She holds a BA, an Associate Healthcare Business Continuity Professional (AHCBP) certification, and a Lean Green Belt, and specializes in translating complex preparedness, privacy, and risk requirements into clear, actionable frameworks that support continuity of care and business in everyday and emergency situations.
