Janine is a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with thirteen years of experience in senior care, including as Wellness Manager and General Manager of a retirement home. She credits a student placement in a long-term care home as a formative experience in her career journey, helping her discover a passion for supporting and advocating for senior-aged individuals.

As a leader in her home and her organization’s retirement division, she uses the principles of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) as a crucial lens through which to gain a better understanding of the unique dignity of each resident and team member in her community. Her embrace of DEI has shifted her approach to evolving human dynamics in her community from a reactive to proactive stance, addressing potential risks and concerns before they arise while building a stronger, more resilient community for everyone.
