Doug Robinson is a resident at The Village of Sandalwood Park and a long-time champion of the #ElderWisdom Green Bench initiative, which combats ageism through intergenerational conversation and storytelling. Jennifer Gould is the Director of Recreation at The Village of Sandalwood Park, where she supports relationship-centred experiences that foster purpose, belonging, and meaningful engagement for residents. Together, they have been involved in Green Bench conversations for many years through community visits and public storytelling, including the Stories from the Green Bench podcast, where Doug served as a host for a year alongside Erin Davis. As part of the 10th anniversary of #ElderWisdom, Doug and Jennifer travelled to England, where Doug grew up to continue the Green Bench journey by sharing stories of home, identity, and connection across generations.
